I am writing to ask for you to pray for someone I don't even know. I believe they were a part of GCC in the past. Grace and Andrew Mark have been married for around 5 years (from what I can tell), have two little kids (like 5 and 3??), and he (the dad) is hanging on for life tonight. He is a believer, but please pray for the family as they go through this. Their blog (updated this morning) is graceandrew.blogspot.com.

julie - we had the gracious gift of this family up here in washington for a couple of years. we went through his first bout of tongue cancer. their complete trust in Christ's provision and the power of the gospel was so wonderful to experience. There little boy, AJ, turned 4 last month and little Gracie will be 3 next month. sometime you need to hear the story of her birth!!
david flew out yesterday to be with them and God was so gracious that Andrew was still alive. the room is filled with people singing hymns, reading scripture and praying. david has been brought to tears by the love and outpouring of care and concern from the people at their church (redeemer bible in minnetonka, mn), people reading and commenting on their blog from around the world.
they are living proof of God's promise that "blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." Andrew will soon be experiencing Christ in the purity of heaven. praise be to our gracious and loving God.
